Eaton Elite Family
I wanted to send a message to everyone about our future as a baseball team, and reflect a little on the past few months. Obviously it has been frustrating with our results this year. After watching us play lately, I felt it was time for a break. It's hard to pin point the struggles which are mostly mental, other than fatigue. With the holidays upon us we need to recharge, enjoy the time away from baseball and see if we can come back in January and play like we are capable of playing. My goal as a coach specifically this year was to put our team in a very competitive season and watch them develop and compete. There has been many times when we did just that, compete with the best and hold our own! We just didn't do it consistently. It's hard to tell how much we have grown, somethimes you don't see it right away. Some kids get it right away and for others it take time. It's very competitive playing with the best 12 year olds in So. Cal. therefore winning these tournaments is very difficult. We all should be very proud that our kids are in that conversation. At the end of the day we have played and practice a lot of baseball in the past 10 monts and deserve a break.
